EPI Research Assistant Posting

The Educational Policy Institute is a growing research and evaluation firm dedicated to the study of issues related to the expansion of quality educational opportunities. Over the course of the organization’s seven-year history, EPI has conducted policy analysis, research, and evaluation on issues of postsecondary student retention and success, student financial aid, literacy, and early childhood education, as well as numerous other topics related to educational opportunity. EPI's clients include the U.S. Department of Education, The Ford Foundation, Lumina Foundation, Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Library of Congress, National Council on Disability, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the Texas Education Agency, and numerous local agencies, school districts and community-based organizations.

The Research Assistant will work as part of EPI’s research team and will engage in all aspects of research and evaluation and collaborate with other staff. Activities will include collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; preparing reports; developing research and evaluation proposals; coordinating projects; and assisting with securing new business funding.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Educational Policy Institute is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia and operates as a virtual organization with staff around the United States. The successful candidate is expected to have a place of work (home acceptable) with excellent broadband coverage for communications. The salary range for this position is $40,000 to $70,000 plus benefits based on experience. Applications will be accepted until the position has been filled.
