The charts in today’s EPIGraph illustrate the historical trend of median income earnings by degree earned. The returns vary by gender, so both are illustrated below. All data are adjusted for inflation using 2018 data. For men, the returns stayed mostly the same across 27 years with some fluctuation. Women, who on average still earn up to 35 percent less than men, saw large increases at the BA, professional, and doctoral levels.
