Dual Enrollment Participation

The High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 followed ninth-grade students to and through high school graduation, college, and the workforce. Of all high school students, 22 percent had taken some dual enrollment courses in high school. The most likely students to take dual enrollment courses are females, Asians, White students, and high-SES students. Male, Black, Hispanic, and low-SES students were less likely to take dual enrollment courses.
